We’ve pretty much established that air travel is the worst. It’s particularly atrocious when it takes a lot longer than you’ve allotted. Passengers flying out of Ottawa International Airport on an Air Transat flight ended up stuck on the tarmac for roughly six hours due to weather issues, and ended up calling 911. The passengers claimed that they had no food, water, or air conditioning. The airline said there was nothing it could really do about it, although officials from the airport said they were willing to help the passengers disembark. But eventually, police did board the plane and treat at least one passenger, for unspecified issues.
