Albuquerque Pizzaria Takes The BLM Movement For A Spin

Ever since Albuquerque restaurant Paisano’s put up a sign saying “Black Olives Matter, Try Our Tapenade” it’s seen nothing but trouble. The owner told NBC that all the restaurant was trying to do was promote its new special a black olive tapenade relish.

Anyway, people have been calling Paisano accusing the restaurant of being racist. The owner, however, does not feel the need apologize for his statement: “I think it shows an interesting state of affairs of where our country is that people, first of all, can be offended by a statement about a vegetable,” Camuglia said. “Black olives matter, and it does matter in our tapenade.”

The restaurant has been inundated with orders for black olive dishes and since the news, business is better than ever.
