On Monday, the Boston Marathon was held. It’s only the fourth year since the horrific Boston Marathon bombing, which left three people dead and over 250 injured. Although the marathon is often a joyous occasion in the city, memories of the attack still hang heavy. So, when Adidas sent out an email congratulating the runners for “surviving” the 2017 Boston Marathon, it was pretty cringe-worthy.
Adidas has since apologized for the mishap.
