After weeks of controversy following reports of sexual harassment allegations and settlements, it looks like Bill O’Reilly’s time at Fox News is coming to an end. Fox News’ parent company, 21st Century Fox, is slated to hold a board meeting on Thursday, and O’Reilly’s future at the network is apparently on the agenda. Since news of O’Reilly’s long history of sexual harassment allegations broke, more than 50 advertisers have pulled their ads from his show.
Fox News has been having a rough time, PR-wise, of late. Last year, the network’s founding chairman, Roger Ailes, was also accused of sexual harassment and was subsequently pushed out. It also lost one of its top anchors, Megyn Kelly, recently–and reportedly, O’Reilly’s behavior toward Kelly “partially inspired” her exit. While nothing is set in stone yet, it looks like O’Reilly is probably on his way out.
