Considering everything that is going on in the world right now, it’s understandable that Dallas residents panicked when every emergency siren in the city went off late Friday night. Around 11:40 pm, all 156 sirens started blasting for almost two hours. Almost 4,400 people called 911. Especially after recent attacks in Syria, the terror attack in Stockholm, and North Korea’s ballistic missile tests, the city’s residents were on high alert.
But, it turned out to be the work of hackers. The FBI used Twitter to announce there was no emergency, and the whole emergency siren system had to be reset. The system was expected to be up and running again yesterday.
