With great fame comes great...er chances of being sued. Nobody knows this fact better than celebrities, and 2016 was no different. This past year we saw some of our most beloved stars entangled in celebrity court battles ranging from the bizarre to the just plain wrong. For the sake of nostalgia, here are our picks for the top celebrity legal battles of 2016!

Bill Cosby plummeted from grace in 2015 after dozens of women accused the sitcom star of drugging and sexually assaulting them. While the statue of limitations for most of the acts he was accused of have long expired, several cases against him are still pending.
A judge ruled in 2016 that Cosby will stand trial for the criminal sexual assault of Andrea Constand. He’s facing three counts of aggravated indecent assault, each of which carry a prison sentence of up to ten years. Constand says she was molested by Cosby in his Philadelphia home in 2004.
A judge also ruled that Cosby’s deposition, in which he admitted to having sex with teens and offering Quaaludes to women with whom he wanted to have sex, could be used as evidence in the trial.
