Results: Passed

Question 2 legalized recreational marijuana of one ounce or less for those over 21.

Analysis: The measure was approved with 54 percent of the votes. Question 2 will go into effect on January 1 for Nevada users. It will also implement a 15 percent excise tax on sales, with revenue from the tax going to support schools and the regulation of the drug. According to KTVN, only businesses that have medical pot certificates will be permitted to apply for recreational licenses in the first 18 months.
