Saturday marked President Trump’s 100th day in office and thousands of people took part in the People’s Climate March. The event was organized by the Sierra Club and the participants included actor Leonardo DiCaprio, former VP Al Gore, and the young climate activist Little Miss Flint.
To many, it was especially important to take part in the march after the EPA removed pages about climate change science from its website on Friday night. According to the website, it is being updated to “reflect EPA’s priorities under the leadership of President Trump and Administrator Pruitt.” Pruitt has said he doesn’t believe carbon dioxide contributes to global warming and Trump has frequently mocked the idea of climate change.
