Looks Like a Trump Aide is a Member of a Hungarian Nazi Group

Yesterday afternoon news broke that Sebastian Gorka, one of Trump’s top counter-terrorism advisers, appears to be a member of the Hungarian Nazi group Vitézi Rend. Some anonymous members from the group stepped forward and said that Gorka took its lifelong oath of loyalty. The group is listed by the U.S. State Department as being “under the direction of Germany’s Nazi government” during World War II and membership makes you ineligible for immigration to the U.S.

If the allegation is true, and if Gorka did not disclose his membership when he became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2012, he could technically lose his citizenship. Now, Jewish groups, as well as others, are calling for his resignation. Many pointed out that Trump has called for extreme vetting of people from Muslim-majority countries, but apparently failed to thoroughly vet his own aides. Some critics also pointed out that it’s very upsetting that the White House still hasn’t commented on the issue, although Gorka has denied the allegations.
