RantCrush Top 5: March 16, 2017

This morning, someone at McDonald’s sent out a tweet with an angry message for the president. It said, “You are actually a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have @BarackObama back, also you have tiny hands.” The tweet only appeared on the account for a few minutes before being deleted–but luckily people took screenshots.

A lot of people were wondering whether this is the official opinion of the fast food restaurant chain, or if it was a rogue employee letting loose on the keyboard. But at 10:30 a.m., McDonald’s tweeted that its account had been “compromised.” However, it’s also a little ironic that the chain’s global chief communications officer is actually Obama’s former press secretary Robert Gibbs.
