Yesterday, when most of us were focusing on the Comey hearing, Vice President Mike Pence tweeted 17 times about space. He was paying a visit to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston to speak to the new class of astronaut graduates. “I can’t tell you how privileged and honored I feel today to be able to congratulate the newest class of American heroes: the 2017 class of America’s astronauts,” he said. It was also Pence’s birthday, and his team threw him a surprise party on Air Force II. He called the event, with balloons and all, “out of control.”
