When the news broke that the role of Hermione Granger will be played by Noma Dumezweni, a black actress, in the play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” people on the internet were predictably, horribly racist. Now that photos of Dumezweni in the role have been released, people on the internet are again being particularly, horrible racist. Luckily, JK Rowling is there to confront the trolls, stating:

With my experience of social media, I thought that idiots were going to idiot. But what can you say? That’s the way the world is. Noma was chosen because she was the best actress for the job.
