Last night, President Donald Trump addressed the Boy Scout Jamboree in West Virginia. The Jamboree is an event held every four years, and usually has an attendance of about 35,000 Boy Scouts from around the United States. Trump’s speech was odd, to say the least. He spoke for almost 35 minutes, applauding his electoral victory over Hillary Clinton, telling inappropriate stories, criticizing President Obama, and slamming “fake news.” Trump’s comments drew mixed reactions from the crowd–while there were certainly cheers, there were also boos and jeers. In addition to being truly odd, Trump’s speech was lambasted by many as inappropriate, particularly given the audience. Some even said it felt like a campaign rally.
