Walmart Apologizes For Listing Featuring a Racial Slur

Walmart has apologized after a third-party vendor listed a product on its website using a racial slur. The product was a wig cap and the color was described as “N***** Brown.” After people noticed, photos of the product description spread on social media.

Yesterday, Walmart apologized and took the listing down. “We are very sorry and appalled that this third party seller listed their item with this description on our online marketplace,” Walmart said.

It’s unclear how this happened, as the British company behind the brand, Jagazi, denied having anything to do with the listing on the website. “The real JAGAZI is a 100% black company for black people. People have often used our brand name to try and sell their products. Please be aware. Very sorry for all the distress this has caused. We are feeling the pain here as well,” the company said in a statement.
