Shia LeBeouf Apologizes for Drunken Rant

Shia LeBeouf, well known for his roles in “Even Stevens” and “Transformers,” was arrested over the weekend in Georgia. According to witnesses, he asked a passerby to give him a cigarette, and when the man said no, LeBeouf lashed out at him. He started yelling vulgarities, even though there were children nearby. When the police showed up to arrest the actor, he yelled at them too. He yelled at one of the officers, who is black: “You got a president that don’t give a f*ck about you, and you’re stuck in a police force that doesn’t give a f*ck about you. You want to arrest white people who give a f*ck? Who ask for cigarettes?” He also claimed that the police officers were racist, and that “a black man arrested him for being white.” You can watch the video from one of the officer’s body cam here.

LeBeouf tweeted out an apology note last night:

But for many, LeBeouf’s apology is too little too late.
