Just a few days after a Jewish cemetery was vandalized in St. Louis, a similar incident appears to have taken place in Philadelphia. On Sunday morning a man paying his respects to some deceased relatives noticed that some of the headstones were knocked over, and called the police, who discovered that approximately 100 headstones had been defaced.
Jim McReynolds, a Philadelphia detective, said that the act was likely intentional but that they’re trying to “find out if it’s drunken kids or an act of—well, it is a predominantly Jewish cemetery, so we have to look into that fact.”
This incident comes after a wave of threats were made against Jewish community organizations, and many criticized Donald Trump for failing to condemn such incidents in a timely manner.
