President Trump has long asked whether it would make sense to just try to get along with Russia. On the latest episode of “Last Week Tonight,” John Oliver broke down what that would actually mean. “It would also be nice if you could walk right up to a bear and hug it,” he said, before digging into how Trump has been nicer to Russia than he has to Meryl Streep.

He also imagined how happy Putin must be to hear the U.S. president “take his moral equivalence argument, and just run with it.” Oliver was referencing when Bill O’Reilly declared to Trump that “Putin is a killer,” and Trump answered, “there are a lot of killers.” For some much-needed Monday morning comedy, check out the clip below:
