Thousands Expected to Attend “Not My Presidents Day” Protests

Today is Presidents Day and thousands of people have signed up for anti-Trump protests in major U.S. cities, calling the event “Not My Presidents Day.” About 13,000 people have signed up for the Facebook event in New York’s Central Park. “We do not accept Donald Trump as our president because he does not represent us,” said television production manager Nova Calise, who co-organized the New York event. She added that she doesn’t believe the policies Trump is trying to implement represent the beliefs of the majority.

It’s been a month since Donald Trump moved into the White House and his administration marked the occasion by listing all of the things he has achieved so far. Some of the entries on the list include Trump’s moves to propel the Dakota Access and Keystone Pipelines forward, “an Executive Order to enhance the safety and security of the United States,” and “DRAINING THE SWAMP: President Trump has taken action to ensure that all members of his Administration are working for the American people.”
