In California, police officers are applauding Uber driver Keith Avila for alerting the police when he suspected something fishy was going on with some of his customers. When he picked up two women and a 16-year-old girl on Monday night, he overheard them talking while he drove them to a motel. He said they told the young girl to ask someone if he had any weapons and to hug “him” but ask for “the donation” before “doing anything.”
Right after he dropped them off, Avila called the police and told them what was going on. Officers showed up quickly and arrested the two women on a variety of charges, including pimping and pandering. They also arrested a man who was in the motel room with the girl. She was basically a child, Avila said. She turned out to be a runaway and will be placed in “alternative housing” until officials find her parents.
