In anticipation for the August 8 census, Australians are being urged not to pledge ‘Jedi’ as their religion. What supposedly began as a joke in 2001 has spiraled into a big problem with more and more people listing the Star Wars creed as their religion. The Australian government hopes to curb the trend. In 2011, more than 65,000 Australians identified as following The Force and royally f***ed up the census.
