Walmart Apologized for Horrible Gun Display

It’s back-to-school time for students all around the United States, and parents and kids are rushing to retailers to stock up on supplies. Walmart decided to take advantage of this influx of business with a new marketing campaign featuring the slogan “own the school year like a hero.” The marketing campaign appears to be appealing to the superhero trend that continues to dominate our box offices. But, somehow, signs for that marketing campaign ended up on top of a glass firearms display in Indiana.

The store has since removed the sign, and it’s unclear whether it was placed there by an employee or by a shopper. Regardless, Walmart has apologized, and said that the display has been removed from the store in question.
