Former Vice President Joe Biden is known for loving ice cream–so much so that Cornell Dairy and the Cornell Convocation Committee will name a new flavor after him. Last May, Biden confessed: “My name is Joe Biden, and I love ice cream. You all think I’m kidding–I’m not. I eat more ice cream than the three other people you’d like to be with, all at once.”
Biden will speak at Cornell’s convocation this year, so student Molly Mandel, who had an internship with Cornell Dairy, suggested that they name a flavor after him. It turned out that Biden’s favorite flavor is old-fashioned chocolate chip. There is currently a competition to come up with the perfect name for the flavor, and the options are: Biden’s Chocolate Bites; Bits n’ Biden; Big Red, White & Biden; Not Your Average Joe’s Chocolate Chip; and Uncle Joe’s Chocolate Chip.
