Thailand has threatened to sue Facebook after video footage of its new king has gone viral. In the footage, King Maha Vajiralongkorn, 64, is walking around with a woman in a German shopping center while wearing a very small, yellow crop top. He’s also sporting fake tattoos on his arms and stomach. When Thai authorities found out, they demanded that the footage be removed right away.
Insulting the monarchy is punishable by up to 15 years in prison in Thailand. But this is not the first time the former Crown Prince has been involved in a “scandal.” Apparently, he wears crop tops every now and then, has had three wives and even more mistresses, and made his poodle an official Air Marshal. The dog was even present, on the table, during a formal reception with the U.S. ambassador to Thailand. Thai authorities said they will sue Facebook if it doesn’t remove the video clip.
