The Trump Administration is trying to shift focus back to one of its campaign promises, which is “focusing on America.” Today the White House will kick off “Made in America” week by highlighting local products made in all 50 states. President Trump is expected to speak on Wednesday about the importance of making and buying American products.
“For too long our government has forgotten the American worker. Their interests were pushed aside for global projects and their wealth was taken from the communities and shipped overseas,” said White House director of media affairs, Helen Aguirre Ferre.
But a lot of people think this is the height of hypocrisy, considering most products sold under Trump’s brand, as well as his daughter Ivanka’s brand, are manufactured abroad, and there seems to be no plans to change that.
