Some ATM customers in Texas received an odd extra with their receipts recently–a note begging for help. “Please help. I’m stuck in here and I don’t have my phone. Please call my boss at 210-***-****,” the notes said.
Finally, someone called the cops, although they thought it was a joke at first. However, when some officers arrived at the scene, they said they could hear a faint voice from inside the ATM. “We come out here, and sure enough we can hear a little voice coming from the machine,” officer Richard Olden said. The man, who has not been identified, was saved, and said that he accidentally locked himself into a tiny room connected to the ATM while changing the lock to the machine. He didn’t have his phone or key card with him. He was stuck in there for two hours, but luckily wasn’t hurt when the police kicked in the door.
