Using the one example where a shooter had difficulty reloading to suggest that smaller capacity magazines would save lives in every case is incorrect. Reloading can occur well within the time it would take for a would be defender to rise from cover or to take one or two steps. The conclusion that the horrible results would have been less horrible with smaller capacity magazines is just wild speculation. And, it is often the case that smaller magazines are more reliable than larger ones, and may be more easily loaded.

I believe there was something in common with the shooters that is relevant. They had mental and emotional problems. And in many cases, the drugs prescribed in an attempt to help with those problems were common among shooters.

I am no fan of Christie, but I believe he did the right thing by letting facts guide his decision, not misinformation.
