I think it hits the nail on the head by discussing how we as a society normalize violence. Another aspect of the game that I found disturbing was how it both obscures and racializes the reality of the conflict by painting Hamas as the evil figures in black – historically, this has been a trend, even in Disney movies where the villains almost always appear in darker colors – and Israel, or the player, as the hero despite the mass civilian casualties resulting from its operation. Hamas was not borne out of evil, it was borne out of a systematic oppression which has proven throughout history to radicalize members of the oppressed population towards military action. Until we begin to take steps to correct that system of oppression, we will only be treating the symptoms of the conflict and not its root cause. What Israel is doing now will only breed more hatred on both sides, and like you said, what we really need now is peace and love.

Peace does perpetuates peace, and love too, hopefully more individuals disassociated woth the conflict can follow suit.
